After reading "The Planet of Mars" by Shel Silverstein and The Planets in Our Solar System by Franklyn M. Branley, students will use Play-Doh to explore the relative size and scale of planets in our solar system. Use the literature-based activities in this printable to develop children's math skills and their understanding of space science. This activity includes Pluto as a planet, even though it is now classified as a dwarf planet.
