Earth Day Recycling Lesson Plan

Earth Day is April 22nd, and an ideal time to support students with a lesson that will encourage them to think about the environment. In this Earth Day themed lesson plan, students solve a problem using only recycled material. The problem they face is how to keep a plant alive without having to water it every day. Student will compare solutions in order to meet the objective: I can generate and compare multiple solutions to a problem based on how well the solutions meet the criteria and limits of a problem. This lesson encourages students to engage in observation, data collection, and to propose solutions.
