FutureFit Extension Activities
Get Real
Working in pairs or small groups, students will write out 3 clues that the rest of the class can use to “find” something that is “lost” in the classroom. Teacher can model using 3 clues that students can use to “find” the clock, for example, or something on a bulletin board. Groups should read their clues to the class, and have the rest of the students try to guess what the “lost” item is.
Get Going
If your school has a “Lost and Found” box/collection/location, have partners or small groups of students choose an item from the Lost and Found and create a “Found Item” poster for the item. Posters can be straightforward (i.e. item description plus location) or creative (i.e. tells a “story” of how the item was lost, from the item’s point of view. Posters can then be copied and put up around the class or in the school.
