Exploring Space: Asteroid Smasher

In this activity, students are asked to examine how thrust and launch angle affect a rocket's course. Students are asked to build a pencil rocket with the goal of finding the best combination of launch angle and thrust so their rocket hits a one-foot diameter target at a distance of 30 feet every time.
