Women's History Month is not just a great opportunity to teach students about the important female figures from history who have stood up for gender equality, but also to highlight some of the unsung female heroes in their own lives. This activity encourages students to conduct an interview with an important female figure in their own lives, and to write and publish a descriptive profile of that woman. The packet includes instructions, interview resources, a notecatcher, sample summaries for Kamala Harris and Tarana Burke, and a blank profile template. Appropriate for independent or group work for students in upper middle or secondary grades.
