Blooming Tree

Objectives

Students will read more.

Materials

  • Construction paper
  • Markers
  • Tape or glue

Procedure

  1. Students draw and cut a tree out of the construction paper. The tree should have many branches and be large.

  2. Students cut many leaves. You could have each student decide how many books he or she will read and make that many leaves.

  3. Each time a student finishes a book, have the student write the name of the completed book and his or her name on the leaf.

  4. Tape the leaf to one of the tree branches.
