Get Real
Change the focus of the activity to center on people that students don't have an obvious connection with. Can they list ways in which they can be kind, generous, or thoughtful with people they interact with on a daily basis who may not be "special?" Ask students to list several examples of people they may know and interact with informally, and how they can treat those people in "special" ways.
Serve
Have students brainstorm a list of ways that they can become special people in others’ lives. Encourage students to take their ideas to their homes and communities to become influencers.
