TeacherVision and DK, the publisher of beautifully illustrated reference books, have teamed up to offer you DK's widely-recognized photos as downloadable clip art.

There are many ways to incorporate clip art into your curriculum, and we've gathered just a few ideas and examples to show you how you can bring your classroom and lessons to life with these stunning images.

Clip Art Ideas

• The DK clip art images are colorful and detailed, and will work well printed as transparencies for the overhead projector.

• Clip art can be printed on sturdy paper and used to create bulletin boards or decorate the classroom.

• Use the images as the focus of a worksheet or activity. For example, you could have your students identify the different stages in the development of a butterfly.

• Use the clip art to "dress up" worksheets you've created, classroom forms, letters home to parents, etc.

• Create a customized calendar that includes your students' birthdays, field trips, Open House dates, assemblies, performances, and more.

• Students can make holiday (Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Mother's Day) cards using the seasonal clip art. Students can create the cards using Microsoft Word, or they can cut and paste printed images onto construction paper.

• Have your students design their own cover for a book, report, or textbook. This activity can accompany a story-writing or research project, and the book covers can be the final step for presenting the project.
