In this icebreaker activity, students create a math equation for each category. The answer to the equation should equal the number for each category. For example, if a student is ten years old, his equation might be 8+2. Students write the equation on a Post It note, and place it underneath each box. This is not only a fun way for students to get to know each other, but also provides you with valuable information about students' math skills.
