FutureFit Extension Activities

Serve

Have your students take their problem solving abilities to the next level by having them look at their own communities. Students will think of some ways that they can make their neighborhoods, schools, or communities better. Together with your students, come up with some ideas on chart paper. Encourage your students to take these ideas to help their communities and see if they can be put into action outside of the classroom.

Create

Students will create their own story about an important event which highlights a key problem to be solved by the characters they develop. As an alternative if students are struggling, your students can choose their own experiences or memories. Each of your students should create their own illustration to accompany their story.
