Stained Glass Sun-Catchers

Objectives

Students' will learn shapes and colors.

Materials

  • Clear tupperware covers or clear drink lids
  • Colorful tissue
  • Ribbon
  • Clear glue
  • Scissors
  • Hole puncher

Procedures

  1. Punch a hole in the top of the lids.
  2. Students cut geometric shapes out of the tissue paper.
  3. Glue the tissue paper to the lid. Allow them to dry on completely.
  4. Cut a piece of ribbon, and string it through the hole.
  5. Hang projects in the window so they will catch the sun.
Reinforce students' learning of geometric shapes and colors by making tissue paper sun catchers.
