These FutureFit Extension Activities are designed to reinforce the concepts included in the worksheet activity while integrating real-world skills. They can be used as in-class independent practice or group activities, or assigned for take-home or independent work.

FutureFit Extension Activities

Create

(10-15 minutes, poster or 8 ½ x 11 paper):
Community service projects need volunteers. Have students create a poster advertisement to convince others to join their team of volunteers.

Get Real

(10-15 minutes, computers/tablets and internet):
Sometimes small groups of volunteers will join other groups to work on community service projects together. Use the internet to identify other nonprofit or civic organizations that might be interested in contributing to, or helping with, your service project.
