Beginning Of The Year Student Survey

A student survey is a chance for you to retrieve qualitative data on student preferences, desires, and goals for a specific class or for school in general. This survey is designed to give students at the beginning of the year and use it as a platform for understanding and internalizing student motivations and environmental preferences. As a tool, you could use pieces of this survey to create stations where students can freely travel to each station that has a statement as the focus of the center and respond on a large presentation post-it; at the end of the center-based lesson, the teacher can review whole-group responses to the qualitative statements about learning environment and styles.
